New technologies never cease to amaze us, penetrating into most of the most diverse spheres of life. Today we will get acquainted in more detail with a high-tech novelty called “smart toilet”.

Distinctive features

Externally, the design of a smart toilet bowl is not very different from standard models. Distinctive features of the appearance of the technological model of the toilet bowl is the presence of a connection to the electrical network, a remote control, a side panel, a more voluminous and massive seat. But what really fundamentally distinguishes a smart toilet from the standard model is the presence of a complex technical filling with many functions. For example, the water supply is carried out through a special device with which intimate areas are rinsed.

Functions

In the standard set of functions of a smart toilet, a presence sensor that is triggered when it comes into contact with a seat; rinsing water supply system; temperature and pressure regulators; water heaters of storage or flow-through type; seat temperature control system, usually having several modes of operation; automatic flushing; automatic smooth lowering of the toilet lid; air purification and deodorization system. Some models of smart toilets are equipped with additional functions, such as drying or pulsating water supply.

Advantages

The modern technological model of the toilet bowl compares favorably with its earlier predecessors. A smart toilet significantly saves space, including by installing combined models of toilet-bidet. It is also quite easy to install and connect to communications. The shapes of the seats and bowls are carefully planned and ergonomic, and the flawlessly smooth white surfaces do not allow dirt or sediment to accumulate, thus maintaining a high level of sanitation and hygiene. For the manufacture of such toilets, high-quality and wear-resistant materials are used. A smart toilet has only one drawback – its functions are not available in the absence of electricity.

Eco modes

All models of smart toilets have several modes of power consumption. In standard mode, any adjustment is made, all systems are available. Economy mode ensures the operation of the heating elements at a minimum level. In standby mode, only the water heating system works. Dehumidifying air and water can heat up to 42 degrees, and the toilet seat can warm up to a maximum of 40 degrees. To achieve high temperatures, correspondingly, more energy consumption will be required. The volume of water used for washing varies between 0.6-1.2 liters. To perform the function of flushing water, you will need from 3 to 6 liters.

The choice of a particular model of a smart toilet bowl depends on the capabilities, preferences and needs of the owners. For cases where dismantling old plumbing is difficult or undesirable, you can use an electronic bidet cover. Depending on the options for connecting to communications, smart toilets are divided into suspended (with support on the floor and horizontal outlet) and floor (the bowl rests completely on the floor, mainly with a vertical outlet). Floor-standing varieties of smart toilets are chosen more often because of their easy installation, and suspended ones are chosen for ultra-modern interiors of sanitary and hygienic rooms. An important detail of modern models is the absence of a rim, which contributes to the accumulation of bacteria and sediment under it.
