Combining modern technologies and elements of rural life, natural materials and high-tech design novelties in the interior of suburban dwellings, you can get a not just comfortable and convenient room, but a really interesting, unique atmosphere of the premises, which you will want to return to again and again. It is this example of the harmonious combinatorics of urban life technologies and the attributes of rural living that we would like to demonstrate in the rooms of one large suburban household. In the best tradition of rural life, in this building, natural materials such as stone and wood are used both as building and finishing materials, raw materials for the manufacture of furniture and decorative items. From the first glance at the façade of the household, it becomes clear that inside the premises we expect a warm, cozy atmosphere of organizing life outside the city, surrounded by beautiful nature, fresh air and green plants.
Finding yourself inside the house. We immediately find ourselves in an atmosphere of unhurriedness, tradition and relaxation. Wooden floors, carved stairs and pieces of furniture impress with handmade craftsmanship. And the light decoration of the premises is designed to highlight the skill of local woodcarvers, without drawing attention to themselves.
In the most spacious room – the living room, we see the presence of interior elements made of wood everywhere – as white-painted ceilings, a built-in storage system with a combination of open shelves and hinged cabinets, in the performance of furniture, window openings and décor elements. Warm natural shades of beige-brown group of colors, used in decoration, furnishings and textiles, created a truly cozy atmosphere of country life.
To make the living room even more comfortable, you don’t need much more comfortable – a soft carpet of an attractive shade, pillows with colored ornaments as seats and for sofa décor, textiles that are pleasant to the touch and local light sources to create a more romantic, intimate atmosphere.
Sturdy wooden furniture is equipped with removable soft seats and backrests, which is very convenient in terms of maintenance and thought out from the side of the durability of room furniture.
In all rooms of the house, special attention is paid to decorative elements, but in the living room it becomes most noticeable. Decorative items made of wood of various species, painted or left in their natural form, occupy most of the interior decorations.
On the ground floor there is also an office with an improvised fireplace. The decoration of the room differs from the design techniques that we observed in the living room. Snow-white ceilings with stucco moldings on the eaves, deep gray walls and wooden flooring became the background for the white-painted brickwork of the fireplace and wall décor.
The original design of the chest of drawers in the form of a stationery low cabinet with drawers fits perfectly into the rather strict atmosphere of the office. To “soften” the interior, wooden furniture of natural tones and textiles with variegated ornaments are used.
Next, we move to a bright, spacious kitchen room, from which there is access to the backyard. It is not often possible to find in a country house the design of the kitchen space in such a bright, glossy design of the kitchen set. The layout of storage systems, work surfaces and the integration of household appliances of angular modification with the island made it possible to do without the upper tier of kitchen cabinets, thereby facilitating the perception of the kitchen space and its furnishings.
But not only the bright crimson shade of the glossy facades of the kitchen ensemble has become a feature of the space for cooking and eating food, but also a huge mirror in a gilded frame that adorns the surface above the sink. Many housewives dream of a sink in the kitchen, located by the window, so that you can admire the views of nature when you wash dishes. In this kitchen, you can see the backyard reflected in the mirror.
Another distinctive feature of the kitchen space was decorative cutlery, the brilliance of which adorned the surface of the hood located above the stove. This gloss goes well with stainless steel countertops.
On the upper floors there are private rooms and one of them is the master bedroom. Gray-blue tones of decoration create a cool atmosphere in the room. But handmade textiles and carpeting “warm” the room with the warmth and comfort of elements of rural life. Of course, a large bed with abundant textile décor is not only the central piece of furniture, but also the focal point of the bedroom in the attic.
The bedroom has a fairly spacious bathroom. Natural shades are reflected in the decoration and rooms for water treatments. The combined design of the surfaces made it possible to create an interesting interior of the bathroom.
Small inclusions of light azure mosaics used for the edging of mirrors became a breath of fresh air for the bathroom décor. Even in the utilitarian room there was a place for cute decorative gizmos, not devoid of functional background.
For the cheap cabin, all surfaces of which are lined with ceramic tiles, warmer shades of orange-brown color group were used.
But not only in the premises of a country house there are many interesting items of furniture and décor. There is also something to see in the local area of the country mansion. Agree that it would be strange to be able to organize a dining area in the fresh air and not use it. That is why there is wooden garden furniture in the backyard, which can serve as a dining group or an outdoor seating area.
What could be better than a meal in the fresh air, surrounded by green plants, flowers and pleasant aromas of nature?
Perhaps better than this can only be the opportunity to have breakfast with an omelet made from homemade eggs, which were demolished by local chickens, walking in absolute freedom through the territory of a suburban household.
