Full-time or sedentary, these carriers define the “modern day” from your home.
The great “secret” of this style: Tons of stone can be saved because unlike natural stone, a style is complemented by placement. In other words, if you’re going for the square look, 16″ concrete sidewalks (or stone as they’re sometimes called), will be enough. Take a look in your photo gallery and then look at West Seawall Road. See what I mean.
Mowing stones across grass
For this spectacular mid-century modern home, the architects continue the flat and wide architectural look. They seem to be there. But we know that it is a newly built house.
One downside of this “pediple” approach is that it makes mowing your lawn extremely frustrating.

It looks functionally attractive with concrete walls, natural wood doors and xeriscaping.
These greens and other organic matter can keep the rocks pressed. Therefore, this type of walk can be placed in more arid climates.

Simple, but effective, modern concrete pavers, made with luck but can be duplicated for your own home: 18-20 miles of landscaped beds. Terra State LLC, a West Seattle, WA-based company, plans the design not only from an aesthetic perspective but also because of functionality, as the tight spacing means no one can swim from caper to packer like a frog. It is even wheelchair accessible.
Also, you can guess the way with the smooth-faced or aggregate-faced 16″ concrete grinding nails at Deto Dot.

Two modern, attractive sidewalks at the back of Denir’s house: plush grass, hard, gray, rough native world stone, with hard, native, organic world. It is an excellent way to connect these two regions. The idea is from Mile House Life Inc., a Deaver, CO-based decorating company.
Simple Modern Eichler Concrete Pavement Walkway
This concrete sidewalk is the most striking and simple version of the other sidewalks shown in this article. It is the front of a mid-century modern Eyler house. This is really true for the period (perhaps, if the concrete does not have an excellent condition, it does not) for the period of this type of intersection.
This photo is from Rebecca Gonzalez’s excellent blog, mid-century modern remodels, home introductions, retro kitchen reviews, and her mid-century modern renovation updates.
Modern precast concrete shed designs that are drought tolerant
Mid-century modern Rhododelle’s Rebecca Gonzalez strikes again, but this time in her own home. Cat Annie’s iconic carved sidewalks are relaxing for drought-tolerant landscaping.
The appearance of the interior of this capercaum, often infused with frankincense, is classic. Also note how the sidewalks are encouraged to avoid the stiff look of the gnasless.
