A Brief History of Lima Beloved Park

Founded on February 14th (Valentine’s Day), Lima’s “Love Park” was created in 1993. This is best suited to the garden’s central sculpture, El Bezo (Kills).

Designed by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín, El Besso produced a man and a woman bachelor in a mesmerizing kiss.

The park was inspired by Barcelona’s Parque Gullé, designed by Antonio Gudí in 1926. Lima’s Parque del Amo is smaller and more modest, but to see it is often compared to Gaudí’s mosaics in Barcelona, with colorful mosaics all over the disorganized walls and benches.

Park del Amore location

Parque del Amo is located in the town of Malecón in the district of Miraflores in the state of Lima. If you’re already on the coast, it’s about a mile to the south from Parque Raimondi (Paragilding’s Hot Pits) and a mile to the north along the coast from the Larcomar shopping mall.

You can walk along the beach along the main road that runs along the west side of the park (called Diagalal and Malecón Balta) around the Parque Kennedy, located in Mariflos. This path soon leads to the beach (after 10 to 15 minutes), you will find yourself at Pac del Amo.
