Food is not a very sweet subject. There are many things to eat and talk about. This story is not for those who do not think of food beyond coconut sambal. In fact, when talking about the culture of a country, a Nazarene dish sneaks in there somewhere. In that way, this document is about a few foods that come to mind just by talking about a country.

1. Tacos – Mexico

It’s been a while since we started talking about tacos as a country. It happened because of the new hotel in Colombo. When you think of Mexico, you think of buala buuila having fun with an elephant hat on your head, and you also think of tacos. There is also a national Taco Dine in Mexico for tacos that were born as a scam in Mexico and have become a craze all over the world today. America also celebrates this day. A taco is simply a tortilla with a filling. Traditional tacos have a spicy filling, but now they are adding sweet ones.

2. Sushi – Japan

That said, rice with raw fish, even though it feels like a tribe, there are sushi in front of Moko Sri Lanka’s Japanese restaurants and eating peacock leaves. Sashimi is the other type of food that has a close relationship with sushi. There is no rice, only raw fish. When you say raw, it is not as unpleasant as it is on the plate. Smoked salmon, wasabi, vinegared rice is one meal in a typical Japanese household. Items such as shrimp, avocado, and carrot are placed inside a sushi roll.

3. Nasi Goreng – Indonesia

We call it Nasi Guran and turn it into raw Sinhala, even if you don’t know where it came from, you will end up with our dish, this is an unmissable dish in Sri Lankan restaurants. Nazi means rice. Goreng means fried. Then we are talking about fried rice in Indonesia. This dish is made with meat, shrimp, squid, vegetables and soy sauce, and it is said to be a similar dish to Chinese fried rice. It became world famous as a popular food during the colonial period of Indonesia.

4. Pierogi – Poland

Pierogi is like a Patisak in Sri Lanka. Pyrogi patties made from wheat flour containing things like potatoes, mushrooms, meat, and cheese are different because they are first boiled like a dumpling. Pierogie is known as the most popular type of food in Poland. Poland has been making pierogies since the thirteenth century. Although there is a pierogi craze all over the world, the real pierogi taste comes only from Poland.

5. Pizza – Italy

Italy is the grand father of various cuisines. Among them, with the global demand for pizzas, it is impossible to turn to other foods. Even in a country outside of Italy, what you are looking for in a restaurant is Italian pizza made without changing Italian recipes. The world-famous Pizza Margherita got its name from Queen Margherita, the mistress of King Umberto of Italy. Although the tradition of making pizza from wood-fired ovens is less and less now, a wood-fired oven is necessary to get the Italian style.

6. Ratatouille – France

If you have a habit of hearing this name, it is because of the movie with the same name. But did you know that there is also a type of food with this name that is unique to France? This is a vegetable stew in a way. There are many types of ratatouille. A type of ratatouille is also trying to satisfy a tight dial in the Disney movie. Things like zucchini, eggplant, potato, bell pepper are used for this.

7. Kimchi – Korea

Not a strange treat for Korean movie fanatics. How much kimchi is related to their lives, actors and actresses can be seen eating kimchi at several times in a movie. Kimchi is a dish made from cabbage. Sixty and a half methods can be adopted. It is used as a side dish. It is considered as a sub-main dish in Korea.
