1). Amazing Crooked Pine Forest
The Crooked Pine Forest is special among the wonderful tourist attractions found in Poland. That’s because the gnarled pine trees there remind us of a strange kind of forest that appears in fairy tales. There are about 400 pine trees in this wonderful forest called Nowe Czarnowo, near the town of Gryfino. It is believed that the people who lived in this area in the early 1930s planted the pine trees found here. The reason why these pine trees became deformed has not been found even today.
During the Second World War, many military operations were carried out in this area. Some people speculate that these pine trees may have crashed due to its impact. Another people believe that this nature was created due to the passing of war tanks over the pine trees during the war.
Another popular opinion is that due to heavy snowfall in this area at that time, the trees fell due to the pressure created by the snow layers on the growing pine saplings. Botanists say that this is a condition caused by some genetic mutation. Accordingly, the reason for the destruction of these pine trees is still a mystery.
2). Wawel Royal Palace in Poland
Wawel Palace, the residence of the kings of Poland, was built in the Middle Ages. As this palace was destroyed by fire on two occasions, by the end of the 17th century, it was in a state of disrepair.
In the late 18th century, this palace fell under the Austrian forces. Later, parts of the palace were converted into military barracks, warehouses, and hospitals.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the attention of the Polish people was again focused on the destroyed palace. On that day, Polish social activists walked around the country and collected money to buy the fortress from Austria.
Within a few years, with the money collected, the palace was later converted into a museum after being freed from Austria. Considering the importance of Waval Museum, UNESCO named it as a World Heritage Site.
Currently, Waval Museum has become more popular among tourists. Visitors can visit the Royal Archives, Pottery Collection, Painting and Engraving Collection, Precious Household and Metalware Collection, Glass and Textile Collection, Ancient Weapons Collection, Gold and Silverware Collection, and Clock Collection.

3). Tatra National Park

This park was designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 992 and was later named as a Ramsa Wetland. As such, this is a strictly protected forest located in Poland.

4). Wieliska Royal Salt Mine
Started in the 13th century, the Wieliska Royal Salt Mine is located near Krakow, Poland. Shortly after the mining started, an underground city was created inside the mine. It received royal patronage.
Therefore, this is called “Veliska Royal Salt”.
The name “Tala” was adopted. Inside the underground city built in the mine are a cathedral carved out of salt, 3 other churches, a tunnel system, a series of rooms, statues made of salt, etc.
The mine was used for commercial salt mining from the 13th century until 1996. Due to falling salt prices and floods in the mine, commercial salt mining activities were stopped here since 1996.

5). Ojov National Park
The area where this park is located has historical significance. That is because evidence has been found that human settlements existed here since the Paleolithic era.
According to this, strange limestone mountains are found in this area, which has been inhabited for about 120,000 years. They look like beautiful towers. You can also see 2 river valleys in this area where there are more than 400 caves.
In 1956, the Polish government decided to establish a national park around the Ojow area. This park is the smallest park in the country, covering an area of 21.46 square kilometers. A significant number of small animal species live in the limestone mountains and caves here.
Accordingly, 4600 species of insects, 1075 species of lizards and 135 species of birds can be seen here. Therefore, tourists coming to Poland mostly come to this park to see butterflies and birds.
