Arugam Bay


There are several ways to reach Arugam Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast, from Colombo. There, the roads from Colombo via Kandy and from Colombo via Ratnapura to Arugam Bay are short in distance. But despite the distance, you can reach Arugam Bay quickly by following the route along the Southern Expressway. Surfing comes to mind when people think of the Arugam Bay coastline. As well as in Sri Lanka, Arugam Bay is famous for being one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world. The best time for surfing in Arugam Bay is from May to November. Also, one of the cleanest beaches in Sri Lanka, this beach is the most popular among tourists. You can also come to Kandy from Colombo and reach Pasikuda via the Kandy – Batticaloa road. There is a natural pool of water extending to a distance of about one kilometer from the sea at Pasikuda beach. Marble Beach


A tourist traveling from Colombo to Marble Beach has to pass Kurunegala, Dambulla, Kantale and reach Tambalagamuwa junction. After that, you can travel about 20 km from Tambalagamuwa junction via Kinnia and then reach the beautiful Marble Beach. Marble Beach, a beautiful beach located in the eastern seaboard, faces Kodiyar Bay. That beach got the name Marble Beach because the sun shines like a marble surface during the day.
